Ronny Rios

Last month we had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know our hometown WBC Silver Featherweight Champion, Ronny Rios. Ronny was born in LA but grew up in some of the meanest streets of Santa Ana near the Delhi neighborhoods. With the help of his uncle, he was able to establish a love for boxing and by the age of 13 found an undying love for the beautiful science. He has been training under the wing of Hector Lopez since 14 at the local TKO Boxing Gym at Jerome Park in Santa Ana, California. 

Ronny is what us here at Suavecito call "Firme". A true champion tested to the fullest and going hard in the face of adversity. Despite a loss in 2014, he has managed to box his way back into the limelight and beat out a tough opponent in Jayson Velez for the WBC Silver Featherweight Championship back in November of 2015.

We are definitely looking forward to Ronny’s future as much as he and his promoter Golden Boy Promotions is. With a possible Championship bout in sight, Ronny is poised to take his boxing career into great heights in the Lightweight Boxing division. We expect only the best from Ronny Rios in the near future.
